▶ Remove the portafilter and place a cup and a scale under the group head. Tare the scale and press the double espresso button that you have programmed.
▶ Measure the amount of water a few times in a row and write it down in a paper.
▶ Repeat the process in all the group heads. Make sure you check at least 5 or 6 times in a row.
▶ We are aiming for a +- 1.5g of water to see if it's consistent or not
▶ Once you have repeated the process in each group head a few times, compare the results between each attempt and each group head.
▶ In this example, on a Faema, we can see that is quite consistent, as the difference between attempts doesn’t go further than +-1g. If the difference is higher than +-1.5g, you will have to contact maintenance.
