▶ Remove the drip tray and check if the small box drains the water properly, the coffee can block it.
▶ Remove the fridge under the coffee machine and check if the pipe that comes from the coffee machine is draining properly.
▶ If the water is leaking over the portafilter it might be a problem with the rubber gaskets. These are easily replaced, and the maintenance team should have spares.
▶ If the water is leaking through the nozzle (steamer or hot water tap) it might be because the steamer is dirty or because the water boiler is overfilled. Contact maintenance.
