If you identify that a refrigerator is not working during the day you must:
• Check the temperature inside the refrigerator using a calibrated thermometer
probe.
• If the temperature is above 8 ̊C, keep the refrigerator door shut and ensure that nobody accesses the refrigerator.
• Check the temperature inside the refrigerator using a calibrated thermometer probe after 30 minutes.
• If the temperature within the refrigerator is still above 8 ̊C, move all high risk food to a refrigerator that is operating below 5 ̊C.
• Report immediately to Maintenance, your Ops Manager and the Compliance Team,
(compliance@leavetheherdbehind.com).
• If the refrigerator has recovered to a temperature at or below 5 ̊C continue to monitor every 30 minutes until you are happy that the refrigerator has stabilised.
• Record corrective action in the corrective action box on Trail.
