• Under no circumstances is anyone to tackle robbers. Simply comply with the demands and when safe, call the Police.
• Avoid making eye contact with the robbers.
• Once the robbers have left your shop immediately contact the police by dialling 999 from any phone.
• When the police have been contacted report the robbery immediately to your Ops Manager and the Compliance Team.
• Ops Manager to consider shutting the shop if it is a serious robbery.
• Assess whether anyone has been injured/hurt and administer first aid where appropriate. Monitor team members for signs of delayed shock.
• Ask all witnesses to stay in the shop until the police arrive.
• Start to make notes of the incident. Any information, no matter how small can help the police in their investigations.
• If police need CCTV footage please email property immediately.
