• In the event of a flood, call your Ops, email compliance@leavetheherdbehind.com and
contact Maintenance.
• Try to establish where the leak is coming from and isolate the area.
• Establish if the flood consists of clean water or dirty water (from a drain or sewage pipe). If in doubt, treat the flood as dirty water until a plumber confirms otherwise.
• If the flood is dirty water or sewage and is affecting the kitchen, stop kitchen production immediately and contact compliance@leavetheherdbehind.com.
• If the leak is from the shop’s hot or cold water pipes, try to isolate the water supply.
• If the leak is from a sink or piece of equipment, look for isolators in the water supply pipe and turn them shut with a screwdriver or coin.
• If the flood affects electrical equipment, lighting or electrical sockets, switch off the circuit breakers on the main fuse panel.
